The launching ceremony of the 10th VBA basketball tournament took place in Ho Chi Minh City on April 19. With the message "Rising to unlimited reach", VBA 2025 is oriented as a strategic shift, focusing on improving professional quality and fan experience.
This year's tournament brings together 7 teams including: Hanoi Buffaloes, Danang Dragons, Nha Trang Dolphins, Ho Chi Minh City Wings, Saigon Heat, Cantho Catfish and an international guest team.
One of the notable points is the restoration of the home - away format, helping teams reach local fans more widely.
In terms of expertise, VBA 2025 will expand the selection of foreign players from Asia for the first time, along with international players and players of Vietnamese origin as before. This change is expected to improve the quality of competition, create more opportunities for coordination and promote the development of domestic players.
In addition, VBA continues to develop new organizing models such as Sport - Shoppertainment, combining sports, entertainment and shopping at events, to diversify the audience experience.
