Paul Merson points out Arsenal's least effective player

Legend Paul Merson is gradually losing faith in Arsenal before the North London derby with Tottenham, as well as underestimating the role of Noni Madueke.

This weekend, Arsenal will be guests at Tottenham's stadium in the context of the Premier League race becoming tense. Mikel Arteta's team just lost the advantage when they drew with Brentford and then drew with Wolves despite leading by two goals.

The gap between Arsenal and Manchester City is in danger of further narrowing, putting pressure on the London team. Meanwhile, Tottenham has just changed coaches by appointing Igor Tudor as interim replacement for Thomas Frank and is struggling in the bottom group.

Sharing recently, Paul Merson said: "I'm sitting here and don't know what will happen in this match. Look at Arsenal's terrible match against Wolves. They don't have a coherent playing style and never show their usual form.

Merson was surprised when Eberechi Eze was not started in the number 10 position. He commented: "He was brought in to play in that position. So why wasn't he started? In my opinion, Eze should have played in the number 10 position when facing Spurs. He plays well in tight spaces and is better than Saka in that role.

Paul Merson also pointed out the least effective player, whom he does not trust: "Noni Madueke also started in the match against Wolves and he is very erratic. Sometimes he does something great, but immediately after that, what he does makes you wonder, "Why did he do that?

Madueke is very direct but he needs to change tactics. It's not always possible to be direct.

Discussing the championship race, the former player said about Arsenal's chances: "Now, everything is in Manchester City's hands. If they win all the remaining matches, they will win the championship.

Merson believes that Arsenal is losing their self-creating advantage and needs to quickly regain stability, if they do not want to continue to miss the title after three consecutive seasons of runner-up. If they reach 4 runner-up times, it will certainly be a nightmare streak for coach Arteta and the Gunners.
