Upcoming " conquering the Sky Hill " Running Competition in Hải Phòng

On August 10, the People's Committee of Kiến An District cooperated with the Radio Broadcasting and Television Station of Hải Phòng to organize the ceremony announcing the Charity Run Fund for the Poor in 2024.

Following the success of the 2023 race, this year, Kien An District continues to organize the second "Conquering the Peak of Thien Van" charity run to raise funds for the "For the Poor People of Kien An District" in 2024.

The charity run is one of the activities implementing social welfare work, spreading the message "Sports for the Community". This is also a significant cultural, sports, and tourism event aimed at promoting and introducing the majestic and beautiful natural scenery, good traditional cultural values, and the friendly and hospitable nature of the people on the territory to a large number of domestic and international tourists.

According to the plan, the charity run will take place on August 18th at the Kien An District's multi-purpose sports stadium. The target participants have been expanded to include people who love running in various age groups (16 years old and above), from amateur to semi-professional runners across the country, running clubs, teams, and groups; students, students, leaders, and residents of Kien An District, Haiphong City, and foreigners living in Vietnam.

The event is also open to government officials, public servants, employees, and workers in administrative, professional, and social organizations; military personnel, police officers, teachers, and students of secondary and high schools in the district; leaders and employees of businesses in the district. The participating athletes will compete in two distances: 3,000m and 10,000m. The prizes for the athletes will range from 500,000 to 3,000,000 Vietnamese Dong. In addition, each athlete who completes the course (Thien Van Peak, East North Weather Station) will receive a commemorative medal.

According to the Organizing Committee, the charity run is expected to attract over 2,000 athletes.
