On the morning of September 21, Khanh Hoa Newspaper coordinated with other units to hold a press conference to announce the race "Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024".
Mr. Le Hoang Trieu - Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Khanh Hoa Newspaper, said that with the message "Spreading love for the sea and islands", the "Nha Trang Night Run Sanvinest - Khanh Hoa Newspaper 2024" race has a difference compared to other races held in Khanh Hoa province in that the participating athletes will run at night.
This is the first time in Nha Trang that a race with 2,000 - 3,000 people competing in 2 distances of 5km and 10km has been organized. In addition to the purpose of building and developing the health training movement in the community, contributing to promoting and stimulating tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, the race also aims to raise funds for eye surgery for people in difficult circumstances.
After the press conference, the tournament will officially open to receive registrations from athletes participating in 2 distances: 5km and 10km. Athletes participating are regardless of nationality, professional or amateur, must be in good health, and must be 14 years of age or older (age depends on each distance). The organizing committee also hopes to welcome many runners from all over the country and encourage foreigners living in the coastal city of Nha Trang to participate.
The race will take place on the evening of December 14 on the coastal running route Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong, Nha Trang City. This is a route that many professional runners consider the most beautiful and poetic in the coastal city. Along with the running time at night, it promises to bring many special experiences and discoveries to the participants.
All registered athletes receive a Racekit of the race including: Race shirt, bag, insurance, gifts from sponsors, drinks and snacks on the run, and completion medals for all athletes.
At the press conference, the organizers also provided more information about security and safety when Nha Trang had its first night race. Along with the message of spreading love for the sea and islands, which was concretized through the organization of using paper cups, booths promoting sea and island destinations...
According to the organizers, professionally organized grassroots running events have been bustling for the past 10 years. Selling participation fees (BiB) not only helps the organizers cover the costs of taking better care of athletes, but also has a humanitarian element as each BiB is a practical act of the participants contributing to raising funds for eye surgery for the poor.
