Sterling determined not to leave Chelsea

Striker Raheem Sterling has long been out of place in the Chelsea squad, but the London team is having a headache with the English player's salary.

According to many experts, Raheem Sterling is Chelsea's failed contract in many aspects. Since moving to the London blue half team, he has only scored 19 goals in 81 matches. Last season, the star moved to Arsenal on loan, but scored just one goal in the Premier League.

Despite his poor performance, Sterling has been paid up to £325,000 a week, making him Chelsea's top priority. With a contract valid until 2027, if he stays at Stamford Bridge, he can receive a total of about 25 million pounds.

According to the revelation, Chelsea is looking to terminate Sterling's contract soon, accepting to pay about 10 million pounds in compensation. However, Sterling is believed to have demanded up to £20 million to leave and this has put things at a standstill.

Former Man United scouting chief Mick Brown commented: Sterling is a particularly difficult case. Chelsea clearly don't want him in the plans anymore, but the contract and salary make him a burden. In this situation, the possibility of "throwing away the contract" is completely possible".

Another detail shows that the crack lies in Sterling being in the same group of players who are considered redundant. They have to practice separately, even using their own dressing rooms and toilets. This partly reflects Chelsea's determination to create pressure to force the player to leave.

As for Sterling, opting to stay on the bench to keep his huge salary does not seem to concern him too much. If there are no concises, the breakup between the two sides promises to be long and tense.
