In 2024, Binh Duong sports achieved many remarkable achievements. The Sports Training and Competition Center successfully organized international, national and regional sports tournaments, and advised on the organization of 159 tournaments, reaching 120.75% of the planned target.
Binh Duong province’s athletes also won 803 medals, surpassing the set target, including 245 gold medals, 223 silver medals and 335 bronze medals. Notably, 5 athletes from the province were honored to become world champions and won gold medals at international tournaments, including billiards, jujitsu, bodybuilding, pencak silat and vovinam.
Mr. Cao Van Chong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, gave a speech at the conference, emphasizing the need to promote the achievements and overcome difficulties in the past year.

He directed the Sports Training and Competition Center to continue to strongly implement sports development projects for the 2025-2030 period, especially promoting socialization and coordination with departments, branches and businesses in organizing sports activities.
Mr. Chong also emphasized the importance of maintaining and developing the mass sports movement, creating opportunities for people to improve their health, and supporting the training and selection of potential athletes. He called on relevant units to continue to increase investment in facilities and equipment to serve training and competition.

Besides the outstanding achievements, the conference also discussed difficulties such as lack of funding for equipment purchases and limitations in facilities, affecting the quality of training and organization of sports events.
In 2025, the Center will continue to implement key plans and tasks according to the strategy for developing Vietnam's sports, striving to achieve and exceed targets, contributing to the overall development of the province's sports.
