The ceremony was organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Provincial Journalists Association to recognize and honor the contributions of outstanding coaches and athletes.
Before the honoring ceremony, the Organizing Committee has made a plan to ensure that the selection process of outstanding athletes and coaches is objective and of high quality.
The Provincial Journalists Association also established a Election Council consisting of leaders, reporters, and collaborators of prestigious press agencies in the province - those who closely follow and report on sports.
Based on the competition results in 2024, the Organizing Committee introduced 11 athletes and 6 outstanding coaches for voting.
As a result, 7 outstanding athletes in 2024 include: Bui Mai Hanh ( Boat Racing), Dinh Thi Trang (Boat Racing), Pham Ngoc Tu ( Archery), Le Pham Ngoc Anh (Archery), Duong Thi Van (Wushu Women's Football), Vu Van Tuan (Wushu), Bui Dinh Quyet ( Pencak Silat).
5 outstanding coaches in 2024 include: Vu Thi Linh ( Boat Racing), Dang Thi Nhan ( Archery), Nguyen Thai Linh ( Pencak Silat), Doan Van Hai (Women's Football), Vu Xuan Quang (Wushu).
The ceremony to honor outstanding athletes and coaches of the Mining Region not only honors the achievements of outstanding individuals but also arouses pride and sportsmanship in the community.
The event contributes to encouraging coaches and athletes to continue to strive and practice to achieve higher results, contributing to the sustainable development of Quang Ninh sports.
