On July 14, Quy Nhon University signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with GEO Group (Germany) and O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. on the construction and operation of a Training Center for and development of renewable energy human resources in Gia Lai province.
The Center for Training and Development of renewable Energy Human Resources in Gia Lai province will provide training programs according to international standards on wind power, solar energy and green hydrogen, contributing to the development of a highly qualified workforce, meeting the requirements of the renewable energy industry and supporting Vietnam's commitment to the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, GEO Group is responsible for developing and transferring training programs according to international standards, providing technical training equipment, implementing technical support, and maintenance services throughout the operation process.

O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. is responsible for building facilities, installing equipment, and operating training centers. Quy Nhon University is responsible for enrolling, selecting students, nominating candidates to participate in "Lecturer Training" programs, coordinating the organization of training assessments and supporting GEO Group in implementing and recognizing the certificate issuance process.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Homan Seyedin - Director of Marketing and Business Asia of GEO Group and Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Thuy - General Director of O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. - expressed their gratitude to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for their attention and creating favorable conditions for investors in the project implementation process, especially in approving the policy and signing the Memorandum of Understanding, opening an important premise for strong cooperation activities in the future.
Representatives of GEO Group and O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. pledged to strive to effectively implement activities related to the project in the coming time.
At the signing ceremony, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the Center for Training and Development of Human Resources for renewable Energy was identified as a key project of the province. Currently, the province is urgently implementing the bidding process to select investors to implement the project, expected to be completed in August 2025.
Mr. Tuan pledged to accompany and create conditions for the project to be implemented soon and operate effectively. At the same time, he hoped that the relevant parties would make efforts and work together towards the goal of "Building Gia Lai into a modern center, training and developing highly qualified human resources in the field of renewable energy and green hydrogen technology, meeting international standards".
The Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested Quy Nhon University to quickly and promptly implement the contents of the Minutes of Commemoration with the spirit of "only discussing work, not retreating", with the aspiration to master technology, determined to turn the Center into a leading training destination in the country and the region for renewable energy.
He also requested GEO Group and O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. to seriously implement the signed commitments, especially focusing on accelerating the project implementation progress.
Previously, on June 18, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chairman of GEO Group and the Director of O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. on cooperation in investing in building a Training Center and developing human resources for renewable energy. It is known that the Center will be built on an area of 20 hectares in Phu My Dong commune (Gia Lai), with a total estimated capital of 50 million USD.
