On September 11, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced that it had issued a document directing functional units to coordinate and promote the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team in the area.
In particular, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications and relevant agencies and units to develop programs and plans to introduce teaching content for 5 basic digital skills.
Basic digital skills including: using online public services; online shopping; online payment; protecting yourself in cyberspace; using other digital platforms (depending on local characteristics) will be taught in extracurricular lessons for middle and high school students in the area in the coming time.
According to Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the implementation of teaching 5 basic digital skills aims to enhance understanding and support the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team. Striving to achieve the goal that by 2024, each household will have at least 1 person proficient in the above 5 basic digital skills.
