On the afternoon of November 6, the "S80 International Education Scholarship" educational scholarship program coordinated by SunUni Academy with Thanh Nien Newspaper and partners took place.
The program is expected to award a total of 8,000 scholarships (all in and out of part, including half-time scholarships up to 70%), applied to programs from foundation to IELTS 7.5 goal, suitable for many different levels of ability of students.
In the context of the Ministry of Education and Training implementing the project "Bringing English to be the second language in schools in the period of 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2045", the S80 scholarship is expected to be an important social resource, contributing to realizing this national goal.

Sharing at the discussion session "The role of English in the era of rising up", Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hong - former Deputy Director, Department of Teachers, Ministry of Education and Training commented that the policy in Resolution 71 of the Politburo to gradually make English the second language in schools - is a right direction in the context of comprehensive educational innovation and international integration.
However, according to her, this is both a new opportunity and a big challenge for all foreign language training units, including SunUni Academy.
"The shift from teaching English as a foreign language to teaching as a second language is a clear difference, creating opportunities for teachers and learners to promote more creativity" - Ms. Hong emphasized.

To make this roadmap successful, Ms. Hong suggested that there should be breakthrough changes. Seeing English as a second language requires a comprehensive change in teaching programs, training methods, improving the capacity of teachers, investing in facilities and especially promoting the application of technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning on a large scale.
Dr. Natalie Sasha Goodwin, Director of the Center for Academic Development, University of Vietnam (BUV) believes that we are living in an era where knowledge is constantly updated, learning and teaching methods are changing day by day. That requires learners to know how to adapt, be steadfast and persistent in the face of all fluctuations.
She believes that in the era of AI, pure knowledge is no longer the only advantage. What is more important is how people think, exploit and create new knowledge. Therefore, the core factor that helps students succeed is flexible thinking and the ability to self-study for life.
