On March 16, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in collaboration with IIG Vietnam Education Organization organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 World Member Graphic Design Championship (ACP World Championship 2025) at Vietnam - America College, Hanoi.
Right after the opening ceremony, the National qualifying round of the 8th season of the ACP World Championship in Vietnam will take place simultaneously in all 3 regions of the country, at the following locations: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Sharing at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Huu - Director of the Center for the Development of Science, Technology and Young Talent - emphasized:
The contest helps raise awareness of the role of studying, fostering qualifications and digital skills in each union member. Thereby, creating positive changes in the digital transformation activities of the Youth Union organizations, achieving practical results in the national digital transformation process".
This year's round brings together 253 contestants from more than 60 teams of high schools, intermediate schools, colleges, universities and academies across the country.
Of which, up to 60% of candidates are from colleges and secondary schools and 23% of candidates are from high schools. This shows that many schools have early assessed the learning needs and career trends in the new era.
Mr. Doan Hong Nam - Chairman of IIG Vietnam Education Organization - said:
"The scale of the 2025 contest is more expanded than last year. However, I think the number of 253 candidates is still very modest compared to the number of schools training in university and college graphic Design. And in the coming years, I hope schools will pay attention and send talents to the contest.
This year, the contest will continue to be divided into 3 groups. After passing the national qualifying round, the 5 best contestants in each group will continue to the National Finals to compete for 1 of 3 places to participate in the World Finals in Orlando, Florida, USA.
Mai Ngoc Linh - the female student who won the International Bronze Medal - shared her experience with the contestants: "There are 3 decisive factors. It is a comfortable competitive spirit, careful review of the foundation, and creativity in everything in one basic foundation. In the end, you have to really have valuable ideas to conquer the judges".
Coming to the international ACP World Championship arena, the 3 Vietnamese ACP Ambassadors have the opportunity to win 1 of the 3 prestigious Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals and awards of 8,000 USD, 4,000 USD and 2,000 USD respectively.
