Hung Yen speeds up investment procedures for Hanoi University of Science and Technology Branch

Hung Yen - The province coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to unify the contents to soon implement the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Branch project.

On December 16, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc - Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Le Quan - Deputy Minister of Education and Training - co-chaired a conference to agree on a number of contents related to the implementation of the investment project to build Hanoi University of Science and Technology Branch in Hung Yen province.

According to the report at the conference, Hanoi University of Science and Technology identified the construction of campus 2 - Branch in Hung Yen as a strategic task, with the orientation of developing modern infrastructure, open academic space, integrating training - research - innovation. The proposed location is in Nghia Tru and Van Giang communes, with a convenient connection to the capital, training and research centers, and large urban and industrial parks.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology Branch in Hung Yen is identified as a high-quality training and research center, of international stature, creating development momentum for Hung Yen province, the Red River Delta and the whole country. The project is expected to contribute to attracting investment, developing high-tech industries, forming a research and innovation ecosystem, while providing high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of the labor market.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province emphasized that the province is ready to support funding for site clearance, requiring relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate and resolutely implement tasks in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister; at the same time, he requested Hanoi University of Science and Technology to soon complete the dossier and report to the Ministry of Education and Training for approval of the project investment policy.

The province also requested the Ministry of Education and Training to prioritize the allocation of sufficient resources, striving to complete and put into operation the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Branch in Hung Yen by 2030; agree on a specific roadmap and timeline, in which the investment policy will be approved in December.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan highly appreciated the location, infrastructure conditions and development orientation of Hung Yen province; affirmed that Hanoi University of Science and Technology's choice of location to build a branch in Hung Yen is in the right direction, in line with the university development strategy.

The Deputy Minister suggested that Hanoi University of Science and Technology proactively develop a comprehensive and synchronous Branch development project in Hung Yen, considering this an important driving force to improve the quality of training and research, aiming to put Hanoi University of Science and Technology in the top 150 universities in the world.

At the same time, it is recommended that the functional units of the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the Provincial People's Committee continue to closely coordinate, complete documents and procedures according to regulations, study investment phasing options suitable to resources, ensure synchronous and effective investment and have a specific roadmap.
