At the ceremony, the Kien Giang Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education awarded 230 scholarships, including 180 scholarships for poor students who have overcome difficulties in their studies in 15 districts and cities and 50 scholarships for students who are children of cadres, officers, and professional soldiers of agencies and units of the Provincial Military Command. The total value of the scholarships is 230 million VND sponsored by Kien Giang Lottery One Member Limited Liability Company.
Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education Nguyen Van Tan emphasized: in recent times, the movement to promote learning, encourage talents, and build a learning society has been widely launched and received very high response and consensus from all walks of life. The contributions of many collectives, individuals, and benefactors have promptly supported poor students in difficult circumstances to improve their studies.
