On November 9, according to the reporter's source, the People's Council of Phu Tho province issued Resolution No. 38/2025/NQ-HDND stipulating the support regime for students in the provinces of the Lao People's Democratic Republic under the cooperation agreement of Phu Tho province to conduct training at colleges and universities in the area.
The subjects of application are students from Lao provinces to study under the cooperation of long-term and short-term training at intermediate, college, university, and postgraduate levels; along with Vietnamese language training courses and training courses to improve knowledge and skills.
According to the resolution, the specific support payment norms are as follows:
Training costs:
Long-term training system: 2,850,000 VND/person/month.
Short-term training system: 5,720,000 VND/person/month.
living expenses:
Long-term savings for students with intermediate, college, and university degrees (including Vietnamese language training courses): 4,050,000 VND/person/month.
Long-term savings for postgraduate students (including Vietnamese language training courses): VND 4,550,000/person/month.
Short-term training allowance for students: 5,400,000 VND/person/month.
Initial support:
Long-term training system: 4,640,000 VND/person.
Short-term training system: 3,720,000 VND/person.
Travel cost support:
Each student is supported with 2,000,000 VND/person/time, issued twice when going to Vietnam to study and when returning home after graduation.
