
The program is implemented to realize the goal of improving foreign language proficiency, making English gradually the second language in schools, creating more learning and integration opportunities for teachers and students in the whole province.
After more than a month of implementation, the movement has received close attention and direction from industry leaders, the efforts of managers and teachers, and the spirit of learning from students.

As a result, 491 secondary and high schools participated, with 174,204 students (accounting for 56.65% of the total number of students in the province) and 9,791 teachers (accounting for 66.49% of the total number of teachers). Some schools with high participation rates such as: Thanh Thuy Secondary School, Nghi Thuan Secondary School, Bac Thanh Primary and Secondary School, Que Phong Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Dang Chanh Ky Secondary School...
During the month, the number of students registering for online courses also reached an impressive number: 39,829 students attending Academic English, 948 students studying IELTS and 303 students studying English Foundation.

Speaking at the summary ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of Nghe An Province Department of Education and Training - expressed his gratitude to the FSEL support unit, and congratulated the schools and students for their high achievements. He emphasized that although the self-study month takes place at the end of the school year, students are busy reviewing for the final exam, with the proactive spirit and advantages of the online learning model, the movement has spread strongly, creating conditions for students in all regions to access foreign languages fairly.
In the coming time, the Department of Education and Training will conduct an English proficiency survey for all 5th and 9th grade students to have a suitable teaching plan.

At the same time, from the success of this launch, the industry will continue to implement many diverse English self-study programs, forming learning habits, use and management of foreign languages among students and teachers.
At the end of the English Self-study Month, the Organizing Committee commended 15 schools, 28 teachers and 220 students with outstanding achievements, contributing to promoting the foreign language learning movement in the whole province.
