On November 7, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a conference on sending workers from Quang Nam province to work abroad in 2024.
According to statistics from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the province, in the period of 2022-2024, Quang Nam has 4,266 workers working abroad (1,848 female workers), reaching 121% of the plan (3,500 workers).
Quang Nam workers mainly work in Japan, Korea, Laos... Localities with the largest number of workers working abroad include: Thang Binh (928), Dai Loc (675), Que Son (447), Tien Phuoc (356)...
On average, 1,422 Quang Nam workers will go abroad each year in the 2022-2024 period, an increase of 163.4% compared to the 2016-2020 period (an average of 870 workers going abroad each year).
The labor markets where workers come to work all meet criteria such as: stable income, guaranteed working conditions, and most workers have accumulated capital after returning home from working abroad.
Through the loan capital to support workers going to work abroad under contract, the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch has disbursed 32.5 billion VND to 456 workers going to work abroad under contract, according to the seasonal loan program for the period 2022 - 2024.
With the achieved results, Quang Nam aims to send 6,000 workers abroad in the period 2022-2025.
