Microsite is understood as a small website created to serve many different purposes.
The microsite "Cuc Phuong Trekking Tour" is a product of a group of students from the project "Z San Footprints" - from the Diplomatic Academy, Foreign Trade University and National Economics University.
This is a marketing communication project, in collaboration with Cuc Phuong National Park, to raise young people's awareness of sustainable ecotourism and nature conservation.
The project took the students themselves several months to conceptualize, design and operate.
According to the student group, the demand for nature exploration and ecotourism is increasing, especially among young people. Meanwhile, existing websites are facing many limitations such as: providing scattered information; the way of conveying is not lively and attractive; difficult to reach young people... And the microsite "Cuc Phuong Trekking Tour" was born to solve this situation.
"The microsite focuses on providing detailed and specific information about trekking tours. With a friendly interface and rich content, I hope "Cuc Phuong Trekking Tour" is not only an information platform but also a bridge to help us convey the message about green and sustainable tourism" - Pham Ha Phuong, a student at the Diplomatic Academy, representative of the student group, shared.
As the person directly involved in the design, Tran Vi Hai Trieu - a third-year student at the Diplomatic Academy - said that the microsite was developed with a focus on optimizing the user experience. Compared to existing websites, Hai Trieu pointed out the special features of the "Cuc Phuong Trekking Tour" microsite.
Cuc Phuong Map&Story is the first highlight. Here, visitors can experience a highly interactive map. The map not only helps visitors locate prominent locations but also groups them into areas represented by intuitive circles. Each circle surrounds a specific group of locations, and when visitors click on them, they will be led on a journey to discover interesting stories surrounding each location.
Along with that, understanding the psychology of tourists, the Trekking Tour section of the microsite will provide detailed information about tours, especially trekking tours, along with classification tools. For each specific tour, users will be provided with details about the level of suitability, highlights, schedule, accompanying services, items to bring, as well as an assessment of difficulty and price.
In particular, the microsite has 360-degree images, helping visitors have a real experience of natural space, flora and fauna through the small screen. At the same time, the Cuc Phuong Quiz section includes multiple choice questions about the National Park, which is also designed to create interaction between the platform and users.
"I hope that with these features, visitors will have interesting experiences, contributing to the development of eco-tourism and raising people's awareness of nature conservation" - Hai Trieu said and expressed his wish to replicate the design in the future.
