On April 1, Dr. Phung Kim Phu - Principal of Hoang Dieu High School (Soc Trang City, Soc Trang Province) said that he had just sent a letter with many messages to teachers, parents and students in the school.
In the letter, Mr. Phu emphasized that, after nearly 70 years of construction and development, Hoang Dieu High School has always put the personality of a teacher, the self-study spirit of students and the responsible companionship of parents as the foundation for a humane and quality learning environment. However, the situation of illegal extra teaching and learning is negatively affecting schools.
"Therefore, with my responsibility, I earnestly hope that teachers will always keep the fire of loving the profession and their students like their children. Always promote self-respect and professionalism, focus on personality education, arouse life values and inspire learning for students", Mr. Phu said.
Mr. Phu called for absolutely no organization or participation in extra classes against regulations in any form. Each main lesson of the course needs to be designed creatively, flexibly, applying technology and artificial intelligence, innovating testing and evaluation to contribute to the comprehensive development of students' abilities.
The principal of Hoang Dieu High School hopes that parents should not place too high expectations on their children, to avoid creating pressure on scores that lead to additional study in violation of regulations. Accompany and encourage them to practice the spirit of independence, self-reliance and self-responsibility.
For the students, Mr. Phu believes that every day at school is a journey of discovery, creativity and self-assertment. They should not let extra classes take away time, money, health and the joy of learning. Sustainable progress can only be achieved through self-study efforts, the will and aspiration to rise up.
Mr. Phu also affirmed that ending the situation of illegal extra teaching and learning is the responsibility and honor of those working in education.
