Donated 200 helmets to first graders in Can Tho

Can Tho - 200 first graders of Binh Thuy 2 Primary School (Binh Thuy District) were given helmets.

On December 2, at Binh Thuy 2 Primary School, the Traffic Safety Committee of Can Tho City organized a program to give helmets to first graders nationwide for the 2024-2025 school year.

The program with the theme "Keeping the dream", this helmet giving is part of the coordination program of the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, and Honda Vietnam Company on traffic safety education for students in the period 2023-2026.

The program is also part of the plan of the Can Tho City Traffic Safety Committee and the City Department of Education and Training on implementing programs of the National Traffic Safety Committee in 2024.

At the program, 200 first graders of Binh Thuy 2 Primary School received helmets. This is the number of helmets out of 18,484 helmets sent by a unit to schools specifically for first graders in Can Tho. Not only receiving helmets, the students were also disseminated traffic safety knowledge for school age, choosing and wearing helmets properly.

According to the Traffic Safety Committee of Can Tho City, the program aims to contribute to ensuring order and traffic safety in the city. From there, it will form awareness of traffic safety from an early stage for students, increasing the rate of helmet wearing for children in particular.
