In the bustling atmosphere of the first day of Tet, from early morning, many Bac Lieu people went to pagodas in the province. Interestingly, this year many young people wore ao dai to visit pagodas at the beginning of the year.

Nguyen Van Hung, Bac Lieu city, said: "Every year, my family and I go to the pagoda on the first day of Tet. This is the first day of the new year, so everyone wants everything to be smooth and favorable so that the whole year will be smooth and harmonious. Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous year with many new opportunities."

Also with the spirit of going to the temple to pray for peace, health and a prosperous new year, Nguyen Nhu Trang said that going to the temple makes her love her homeland more. Not superstitious, but she also asked for ginseng leaves to see how her whole year would be.

At Quan Am Phat Dai (Nam Hai Buddha), Bac Lieu city, on the first day of Tet, many people came to pray for a peaceful year and favorable business. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Vinh Trach commune, Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province - said: "The whole family went to the pagoda early in the morning. Last year's business was good, this year my family prays for the same as in 2024".

Along with praying for a peaceful new year, many families bring their children to the pagoda at the beginning of the year to educate them about the glorious historical traditions of the nation, thereby arousing pride in the patriotic tradition for future generations.

For many young people, going to the temple at the beginning of spring is not only to pray for good things for themselves and their families, but also an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the serenity of the sacred place in spring and to better understand the cultural traditions of the nation.
Nguyen Hoang Linh - Ward 1, Bac Lieu city, Bac Lieu province - shared: "My family often goes to the pagoda on the first day of Tet. Gradually, it becomes a habit, going to the pagoda is first to enjoy the scenery, then to pray for myself and my family to always be healthy, everything goes smoothly...".

Life is becoming more and more civilized and modern, the beauty of going to the pagoda at the beginning of the year is always preserved by people. This is also an opportunity for everyone to express their respect to their ancestors, and wish them a peaceful and happy new year.
