At the corner of the yard of Ngoc Lan Kindergarten (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City), there is a blackboard with the words "Place to receive shoes for children in mountainous areas".

Faced with natural disasters, floods, and landslides occurring in the Northern provinces, teachers and students of Ngoc Lan Kindergarten have carefully donated old sandals, moon cakes, books, etc. to send to children in the Northern highlands.

Ms. Ho Nhu Ngoc - Vice Principal of Ngoc Lan Kindergarten said that with the donated shoes, teachers and older students of the school cleaned, sorted and carefully packaged them to send.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh said that not only did they work very enthusiastically, the children also asked a lot about their friends in the flooded areas. After watching TV and listening to the teachers explain that due to the floods, the children in the northern highlands could not go to school and did not have enough warm clothes to wear, the children seemed very sad.

"That's why when the children realized that these shoes and sandals would be given to children in flood-affected areas, they cherished and preserved them very much," said Ms. Anh.

She and her children donated items to children in the northern highlands in the flood-hit areas as a way for the school to educate them about morality and mutual love of the Vietnamese people.

"These activities help children become more confident and bold. Besides, the love that is spread in children today will help them grow up to become exemplary citizens," said Ms. Ngoc.
