Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, will be Chairman of the Council. Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, is the Permanent Vice Chairman. Mr. Tran Minh Kiet and Mr. Vuong Thanh Nam, Deputy Directors of the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Finance, as Vice Chairmen.
The Council is responsible for developing criteria and scores for evaluating and selecting investors in industrial cluster infrastructure according to Decree No. 32/2024/ND-CP; scoring to ensure accuracy, objectivity, fairness; developing and promulgating Working Regulations; assigning tasks to members; reporting the results to the City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
The Department of Industry and Trade is a standing agency, coordinating with members of the Advisory Council to issue Regulations, establish a Working Group and organize activities. The members work according to the Regulations, use the seal of the working agency and implement the concurrent regime, the Council dissolves itself after completing its tasks.

To date, Can Tho City has established 13 industrial parks (including 9 industrial parks in operation; 1 industrial park is under construction of infrastructure, 3 industrial parks in the compensation and site clearance phase), 3 industrial clusters, 1 Song Hau Power Center and 1 Song Hau Industrial Park Operation Center.
To date, export processing and industrial zones in the area have 378 projects with a total registered investment capital of 9,983.12 million USD, of which the implemented capital reached 4,605.35 million USD, accounting for 46% of the total registered capital. The total number of workers working in industrial parks by August 2025 is 92,579 people, an increase of 6,210 people over the same period in 2024. Of which, the workforce of FDI enterprises accounts for 49,848 people.
The revenue in August 2025 of enterprises in industrial parks reached VND 12,629 billion, up 5.1% over the same period in 2024.
