Sharing about the inspiration for writing the song "Following the story of peace", musician Nguyen Van Chung said: "I had the opportunity to visit sacred places of the Fatherland such as Con Dao prison, memorial site... When passing through those places, I had extremely special emotions.
I was also lucky to hear stories from veterans. In front of me are people who no longer have arms and legs, their bodies are full of bullets, but they still maintain faith, ideals and a spirit of optimism about life. I felt they had sacrificed too much for us to have today. Peace is like air - we cannot see or smell. But if it is only 30 seconds or 1 minute away, we will soon discover its great value.
That is why I subconsciously understood the importance of peace. I realized that today's life is not natural. The happiness we are enjoying does not come by chance. When I had enough inspiration and emotion, I wrote this song."
According to the musician, this song is a connection between the past, the national history to the present - when we understand the value of peace and preserve it for future generations.
"Closing peace is not about working big but being aware of completing small daily tasks. Students need to study well, improve knowledge, perfect skills to graduate and have a stable job, take care of themselves, and help their families.
When we have good jobs, we contribute to the company, the community and the country. Like teachers, people... they all do their job well, creating value for life. In communication, we treat others gently, lovingly and gratefully, even when there is conflict, we should gently dialogue in the spirit of love. That is the awareness of peace" - musician Nguyen Van Chung shared.
The song Continuing the Story of Peace by musician Nguyen Van Chung has been translated into many different languages. Including the English version by Mr. Mai Thanh Son - a teacher at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, the Russian version by Meritorious Teacher Le Duc Man and the Japanese version by Dr. Nguyen Song Lan Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Japanese, Hanoi University.
At the seminar, Excellent Teacher, translator Le Duc Man - who translated the song into Russian - shared: "I have experienced many wars in the last century, so I understand the value that musician Nguyen Van Chung conveyed in this song.
