More than 2,000 women given the opportunity to detect cancer early

More than 2,000 disadvantaged women have been given the opportunity to detect cancer early, reduce financial burdens and have more hope to live well.

On December 14, Vietnam National Payment Joint Stock Company (NAPAS), Mastercard and Vietnam Community Online Services Joint Stock Company (Payoo) jointly held a ceremony to award free cancer screening for disadvantaged women within the framework of the social security program "Touching, Sharing, Giving Hope 2025".

2,010 free screening sessions for three common types of cancer in women: breast cancer, cervical cancer and ovarian cancer, and HPV virus testing. Of which, 1,000 tickets were awarded through the Vietnam Women's Union and 1,010 tickets through the Youth Union of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City. screening opportunities are for disadvantaged women working in export processing zones and industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and groups of freelance workers from other provinces living and working in the above localities.

Immediately after the award ceremony, 400 women were screened at Hanoi Medical University Hospital. The remaining beneficiaries will continue to be screened from December 2025 to the end of January 2026 at medical facilities including Thanh Nhan Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital Clinic and Gia Dinh People's Hospital.

In three months of implementation, the program "Touching, Sharing, Giving Hope 2025" has attracted strong response from the community through two key activities.

Payment card touching activities recorded more than 2.2 million transactions using NAPAS and Mastercard cards at payment acceptance points, with each successful transaction converted into VND2,010 contributed to the cancer screening fund.

In addition, all fundraising budget resources are used to implement activities to support disadvantaged women, including continuing to organize "Zero-VND Booths" at hospitals. The booth provides essential necessities such as rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, salt, shampoo, shower gel, etc., contributing to reducing the burden of living expenses and helping beneficiaries feel more secure during the examination and treatment process.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung, Deputy General Director of NAPAS, said: The three-year journey accompanying Payoo and Mastercard in the Touching, Sharing, Giving Hope program has affirmed NAPASs commitment to sustainable development associated with community responsibility. The signing of a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Women's Union for the 2025-2030 period continues to strengthen our long-term orientation in CSR activities towards women".
