Nam Dinh - Established nearly 40 years ago, Mrs. Bu's dried apricot broth restaurant has become a place associated with the childhood of many people in Nam Dinh.

Located on the sidewalk behind Hoa Binh Square (Nam Dinh City), Mrs. Bu's dried water restaurant is also known by the familiar name of the childhood drink restaurant.

According to the owner, the restaurant has been open for nearly 40 years, selling only 2 drinks: dried apricot juice and green tea. In particular, dried water is more popular and chosen by many people.

As the third generation to take over Mrs. Bu's dried apricot broth restaurant in her family, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong said that dried apricot broth has a sour, sweet and unique taste. To create the unique flavor of dried apricot juice, the traditional rice recipe is given by a Chinese person working in the same weaving factory as his aunt (who is Mrs. Bu).

"Usually every year, during the plum season, my family will buy a few tons of fresh plums to make into a dried apricot to sell gradually. Thanks to the fresh fruit, I sell it at home all year round without worrying about it spoiling," said Ms. Phuong.

On hot summer days, Mrs. Bu's dried water in the morning is even more crowded with customers because this drink is very suitable for drinking with ice. Ms. Dao Thi Mai (Nam Dinh City) shared: "Ms. Bu's dried apricot broth is a place that has been associated with my childhood, since I was in high school, my mother took me to the shop to enjoy dried apricot broth. Until now, the flavor of dried apricot water remains the same, so I often go to the shop to buy water so that the whole family can have a hot summer day together. The sweet and sour taste combined in moderation, drunk with cool ice is very suitable".

The price of a cup of water here is 4,000 VND, the cup to bring home is 7,000 VND. In addition, to make it easier for customers to take, the restaurant also sells 500ml bottles for 12,000 VND, 1.5l bottles for 35,000 VND.
