On March 18, the Hai Lang Regional Medical Center said that the unit is taking care of mother and child K (19 years old, renting a room in Dien Sanh commune, Quang Tri province). Currently, the health of both has stabilized.
Previously, at about 0:05 on the same day, Ms. K showed signs of labor, so she called a taxi to go to the hospital.
While waiting for the bus, she went to the rented room next door to ask for drinking water from Ms. Dang Thi To Thuy (born 1977). However, just a few minutes later, the pregnant woman suddenly went into labor and had ruptured membranes.
In an emergency situation, Ms. Thuy and people living in the row of rented rooms quickly supported and directly delivered the baby for the pregnant woman, helping Ms. K give birth safely right in the rented room, giving birth to a baby girl.
After that, medical forces were present, coordinating with people to take the pregnant woman to the Hai Lang Regional Medical Center for continued monitoring and care.
According to information from the medical facility, the baby girl weighed 3.2kg. Mother K's circumstances are quite difficult, and she currently does not have a stable job.
