In the days leading up to Binh Ngo Tet 2026, Pi Ba artist - music lecturer Vu Dieu Thao surprised when introducing a MV called "Peaceful Tet together".
The song is composed by Dieu Thao herself, Chau EP is arranged and mixed, and performed by young singer Luu Quoc Vuong. The work also marks a new journey in Vu Dieu Thao's composition. Before "Peaceful Tet together", most of Vu Dieu Thao's song compositions were lyrical, thoughtful, sometimes faintly filled with sadness and personal reflections.
Therefore, her introduction of a Tet song with a fast tempo, vibrant atmosphere, and youthful energy surprised many audiences.

For Vu Dieu Thao, Tet is always associated with joy, excitement and optimism. The emotions make her music sound naturally and coherently, as if telling a story in melody, sending wishes for a Tet of reunion, where every family is filled with happiness and everyone is healthy and peaceful.
In which, the MV "Peaceful Tet together" is like a "rise" that helps her overcome sadness, find joy and positive spiritual values. Among many values of Vietnamese Tet, Vu Dieu Thao chooses to emphasize the word "peace" because after going through many ups and downs of life, what people really desire is not wealth or fame, but peace for themselves and their loved ones.

Peaceful Tet together" is imbued with Dieu Thao's personal story. There were years when she went on business trips far away, only returning home close to Tet; even there were years when she had to celebrate Tet in a distant country, missing her family to tears. She told a close friend who married in the Mekong Delta, who only returned to Hanoi a few times a year and Tet was always the most anticipated time. "For me, Tet is just that simple, peaceful with loved ones," Vu Dieu Thao shared.
Speaking about choosing Luu Quoc Vuong to perform the song "Peaceful Tet together", Vu Dieu Thao said that she found the male singer born in 2006 very suitable to convey the fresh spirit of the song. In fact, Luu Quoc Vuong not only fully expressed the spirit of the song but also participated in acting in the MV, creating everyday, close moments with Vu Dieu Thao.

Not putting much emphasis on vocal technique, Luu Quoc Vuong sings with innocence, the true emotion of a child always looking forward to the day of return. "For me, Tet always carries a very unique beauty of Vietnamese people, simple but touching the heart. Therefore, when I first heard the demo of this song, I felt emotional, as if touching old memories. The images of old Tet, the roof, the reunion meal... all appear very naturally in my head. No matter how much life changes, those traditional values are still there, like a place for everyone to return to" - Luu Quoc Vuong added.

The image of the two sisters returning home on an antique bus evokes many memories, opening up a series of everyday moments such as gathering with grandparents, parents, together wrapping banh chung, cleaning the house, playing, receiving lucky money... The space of the ancient house, mossy tiled roof, brick yard, red fire kitchen, bubbling pot of banh chung creates a warm and familiar feeling of a traditional Tet.
An important highlight in the MV's staging is the continuous presence of the琵琶, a musical instrument associated with artist Vu Dieu Thao and also the musical soul of the song. The frames in the MV honor the beauty of folk instruments, and at the same time depict the strong bond between the artist and the instrument, where music becomes an emotional bridge, connecting generations in the family.
Pi Ba artist Vu Dieu Thao was born and raised in Hanoi. She is currently a lecturer specializing in Pi Ba instruments at the Vietnam National Academy of Music since 2024.
