Alongside the storyline of the characters in adulthood, starting from the age of 17, played by Avin Lu, Ngọc Xuân, Đỗ Nhật Hoàng, the child actors will portray the story at the age of 12. Childhood is one of the crucial parts of the film, having a close link with the stage of growing up, explaining the intense emotional line in love and friendship between Vinh, Miền, Phúc.
On the latest poster, the trio of child actors appear in simple forms, bearing a unique mark that will follow each character throughout the film: Vinh with a "còm" appearance, slightly hesitant expressions; Miền with long black hair, a face with a hint of sadness; while Phúc has a mischievous and agile appearance.
The fresh and lovely colors from the bright smiles mixed with a hint of shyness of the three child characters on the poster "A Story of the Past" promise to move the audience. Director Trịnh Đình Lê Minh said, the strength of the child actors lies in their innocent and natural acting, bringing a refreshing and new breeze to the film.
Although still young, the three child actors playing the main roles of Vinh, Miền, Phúc in "A Story of the Past" are familiar faces to the audience.
