In the send-off ceremony, A hau Thu Ngan was awarded the Miss Intercontinental Vietnam 2025 sash from A hau Bui Khanh Linh and Master Pham Kim Dung, officially taking on the responsibility of representing Vietnamese beauty at the 53rd Miss Intercontinental held in Sahl Hasheesh, Egypt.
Born in 2003, A hau Thu Ngan possesses a height of 1.72 m and modern, sharp beauty. She graduated with honors in Public Relations from Nam Can Tho University. Previously, Thu Ngan won the title of Miss Nam Can Tho University 2022, 2nd Runner-up of Tay Do Beauty 2023, Top 30 Miss National Vietnam 2024 and most recently the title of 1st Runner-up of Miss Grand Vietnam 2025.
Sharing about the Vietnamese representative, Master Pham Kim Dung commented that Thu Ngan is a gentle, taciturn girl but always shows herself through actions. According to her, efforts to overcome shyness, a spirit of progress and the ability to catch up with modern trends are necessary factors to help Thu Ngan confidently step into the international arena.
At the event, runner-up Thu Ngan for the first time presented national cultural costumes named "Chau Ro Cau Mua". The design was made by designer (NTK) Pham Thi Ngoc Trang, with the support of coach - designer Nguyen Viet Hung, who won the second prize in the National Cultural Costume Design competition at Miss Grand Vietnam 2025. The costume is inspired by the cultural life of the Chau Ro people, knitted entirely from recycled fibers, carrying a message of endurance, solidarity and environmental friendliness.
In addition, Thu Ngan also introduced an official evening gown named Desert Flame by designer Thuong Gia Ky, inspired by the fiery beauty of the Egyptian desert, symbolizing inner strength and the aspiration to rise up of modern women.
According to the plan, A hau Thu Ngan will depart for Egypt on January 12. The final of Miss Intercontinental - Miss Intercontinental 53rd is scheduled to take place on January 29.
