The film "Under the Lake" belongs to the supernatural horror genre, urban legend, inspired by urban legends about the annual "swallowing" lakes of death and the fear of reaching the water of many people.
This is also the first film project in Vietnam to exploit a parallel theme, with a modern setting, after horror film projects such as Tet in Hell, Ke Dinh Duong, Cam by Tran Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan.

In Under the Bottom of the Lake, singer Thanh Duy plays Hung, a makeup artist during the day, and a Drag Queen at night (people dressed as women and with heavy makeup).
Thanh Duy, a person with 18 years of stage experience, believes that he will easily get into the role smoothly. However, in the first scene, the male singer could not do it because he could not feel the connection between himself and the character.
"Even director Tran Huu Tan told me that he only saw singer Thanh Duy performing, not the character Hung. At that time, I was very worried and asked the director to let me be on that stage alone so I could feel the stage.
At that time, I had not practiced, just laying, feeling the stage and imagining. After everyone returned, I asked the director to perform alone on stage so that I could focus all my attention on expressing the character I took on" - singer Thanh Duy said.
Previously, Thanh Duy became the center of controversy when appearing in the image of Drag Queen; the male singer revealed that he was very hurt. Therefore, coming to the project "Under the Lake", he continued to transform into Drag Queen.
The film "Under the Lake" officially hit theaters on June 6.
