The historical opera "Tay Son Nu Tuong" officially debuted with the participation of artists such as Binh Tinh, Minh Truong, Vu Thanh, Hoang Quoc Thanh, Cong Minh, Hoang Phuong, Trong Nhan, Bao Ngoc, Hoai Thanh, Thanh Khang, Le Trinh, Du Bao... "Tay Son Nu Tuong" is a script by author Nguyen Sy Chuc, adapted into a cai luong opera by Nguyen Phuong and staged by Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat.
On stage, Binh Tinh portrayed the female general Bui Thi Xuan with a deep love for her country, a wife who loved her husband, a mother who loved her children endlessly... It is known that this is one of Binh Tinh's "heavy" roles and she almost had to appear from the beginning to the end of the play.
Sharing about her character, Binh Tinh said: "When I received the script from director Le Nguyen Dat, I read it in one go and accepted it immediately because I was completely captivated by the character Bui Thi Xuan. This has also been my dream role for a long time, because when I was still in school, when I saw Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien perform this role, I admired and loved her very much. Along with reading the script, I also consulted many sources of information to learn more about this female general. When I got home, I also stood in front of the mirror to practice my lines, character and choreography. Perhaps because I was so immersed in the role, many times after I finished acting, the character of Admiral Bui Thi Xuan still haunted me in my sleep."
In this opera, Binh Tinh plays a pair with artist Minh Truong. Although it is their first collaboration, the two have a good chemistry. The harmony of the two characters in the scenes moves the audience.
