Musician Bui Cong Nam said about the opportunity to write the song: "Mr. Hung, my manager, is a friend of director Tran Trong Dan, so when Mr. Dan wanted to compose the soundtrack for " Ut Lan", he contacted him. Based on the content and sympathy for the status of a disadvantaged woman in the old society, I wrote a song with the melody and lyrics as the audience had heard.
