This is the first time the crew has shared details about the inspiration and production process of the film.
Director Kim Sung Hoon, who first came to Vietnam, was impressed by the landscape and people, determined to create a film product with strong Vietnamese identity, exploiting the natural harmony between the two cultures. He said: "Vietnamese culture is realistically portrayed from personal experience, helping the audience rediscover everyday beauty and sometimes overlooked new things".
Throughout the filming process, the Korean crew was surprised by the professionalism and understanding of the Vietnamese crew. Duy Khanh and Hoang Ha expressed their happiness at working with the international team, feeling comfortable and secure in dedicating themselves to the role. Hoang Ha emphasized that careful preparation helps coordinate smoothly, while Duy Khanh called this process a dream.
A special highlight of the film is coffee, which was chosen by director Kim Sung Hoon as the emotional fiber. He shared: Coffee is not only a drink but also connects people. Vietnamese and Korean coffee culture is in harmony, I want to put the slices of the farm, the barista profession and coffee life into the film.
The film also surprised with a humorous segment when Duy Khanh discovered Lee Kwang Soo in a "lack of fabric" situation at Hoang Ha's house, causing both of them to turn around, creating a situation of "laughing and crying". This segment promises to open a new series of troubles, while bringing many memorable humorous moments.
The film "Tay anh giu a sao" promises to be a project of Vietnamese - Korean cultural exchange, both maintaining Vietnamese identity and bringing a new experience on the big screen.
