Accepting to be a guest judge of the program, Long Nhat shared that this is not simply a singing contest but a journey to recreate classic songs associated with emotional love stories of Vietnamese music. As someone who has been associated with lyrical music, bolero, and folk music for many years, he said that he is always attracted to works with clear settings, circumstances, and emotional depth.
According to singer Long Nhat, the "Love Storyteller" program approaches audiences in a gentle and sophisticated way, helping familiar songs get closer to young audiences. "The program tells stories with music, very intelligent and emotional. That's why I feel suitable and excited to participate," he said.
In the role of judge, Long Nhat said that he evaluates contestants in many aspects, from vocal technique to performance style. However, the most important criterion for him is still emotion. "The audience does not need to analyze techniques too much. Whether singing cheesy or sangly is fine, as long as the singer touches the listener's heart," the male singer emphasized.
Faced with rumors that he is "out of time", Long Nhat frankly expressed: "I don't care. Artists don't need to argue. Just answer with music is enough." He believes that the most important thing is to hold responsibility to the audience and constantly learn to refresh himself.
Having experienced the feeling of nervousness when standing on stage, Long Nhat gives a lot of sympathy to the contestants. He said that the judges always judge the competition with love. “When the contestants are nervous, I say just look down at me. I know every song, I will sing it to make them less stressed,” he shared.
After more than 30 years of artistic activities, Long Nhat revealed long-term plans for the future. Coming from an education family, he hopes that when he is no longer able to perform, he will switch to teaching, producing and teaching the profession to the younger generation.
