Within the framework of the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, artisan - designer Trung Dinh introduces two new Ao Dai collections, inspired by Vietnamese silk and cultural stories associated with the country's development journey.
The first collection named "Silk Life, Gold and Desire" uses silk as the main material - a material considered the "national treasure" of Vietnamese textile and garment art. The special feature of the collection lies in the fact that the designer uses non-woven silk, taking advantage of the natural adhesion of the silk thread instead of traditional weaving steps.
According to Trung Dinh, each ao dai is not only a costume but also carries a story about the journey of silk - from slender silk threads through the stages of silk sewing, processing and completion to become precious silk pieces. The meticulousness in each stage has contributed to creating the special value of Vietnamese silk.

The designs continue to promote the familiar strengths of the designer with ombre dyeing techniques and handcrafted painting on silk, creating traditional, elegant and artistic ao dai.
The collection is presented by many prominent faces of the beauty industry such as Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, Luong Thuy Linh, Tran Tieu Vy, along with Miss Le Hoang Phuong, Doan Thien An and many other beauties. In each step of the performance, the silk ao dai is as soft as cloud strips, highlighting the graceful and luxurious look of the wearer.

Previously, Trung Dinh also introduced the "City Rising" collection, which is handcrafted and dyed on silk in a realistic style. On each ao dai, scenic spots and typical architectural works of Ho Chi Minh City are expressed softly like vivid paintings.
Participating in the collection show were also many prominent faces such as Ngoc Tinh, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau, Bui Xuan Hanh, and international beauties such as Yolina Lindquist and Mook Karnruethai Tassabut.
According to Trung Dinh, this project was implemented in a fairly tight time, only about 10 days for two collections. However, he still chose non-woven silk material combined with manual ombre dyeing techniques to create a distinctive color effect.
The collection uses non-woven silk but'woven' a great aspiration for Vietnamese fashion," the designer shared.
