Instead of choosing the strength of choreography, Cody returned to familiar emotional material and reunited with actress Do Khanh Van in a sad and heartbreaking story.
The MV tells the story of a young couple whose child is suffering from a slow-growing disease. Turning into a fixate seems to help the two bond, but economic pressure has caused the female character to fall into another conflict: she decided to leave her family to find a more prosperous life. Cody alone became a "childhood friend", struggling between making a living and taking care of a sick child. The image of him quietly watching his ex-wife enter a lavish wedding with a rich young master became a film that choked many viewers.
Cody's return was even more noticed when he had just experienced the shock of being eliminated before the final round of "Anh trai say hi". Although he is considered to have comprehensive skills in singing, rapping and dancing, Cody still did not have a solo stage before leaving the competition, leaving many regrets for fans.
Not accepting to let himself "go cold", Cody focused all his efforts on the MV "It's over soon".
The MV was filmed in Da Lat in a cinematic style with dark colors, taking advantage of fog and natural scenery to increase emotional depth. This is the most invested project in Cody's career; the crew had to postpone the filming schedule three times due to bad weather and only had one week to complete the post-production before the release date.
