The film is about a pair of dogs and cats, Gracie and Pedro, who live together under the same roof, but they do not get along. Gracie is a luxurious golden-haired domestic dog, while Pedro is just a rescue cat willing to dig for food in the trash even though the house is full.
In the house there is also a goldfish named Laurence who works as a narrator. Laurence is an indirect victim of many games of tag between Gracie and Pedro.
One day the couple accidentally got lost while Bannister's host family moved from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. Because of poor quality shipping services, Gracie and Pedro were stuck.
Gracie and Pedro usually don't like each other, but being stuck in a strange land they have to cooperate to find their owner. The trailer also reveals the Bannister family's efforts to find their pets, especially the two children Gavin and Sophie.
The two main characters must go through a difficult path, overcoming all types of terrain, obstacles, and creatures ranging from friendly to dangerous. It seemed like they had nothing in common, but it turned out that what they both agreed on was that they would never give up on their family.
Bringing colorful images as well as vivid expressions, the animation "Panther looking for its owner" conveys the message of protecting pets as well as respecting animals, promoting courage and friendship.
The movie "The reporter searches for the owner" is expected to premiere on September 13, 2024.
