On the afternoon of July 1, within the framework of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival, Da Nang City organized a workshop with the theme "Discovery and fostering cinematic talent: International experience and solutions of Vietnam".
Here, domestic and foreign experts shared many presentations revolving around building a new generation of filmmakers through learning international experience and expanding cooperation; international cooperation experience in film training from the past to the present and the future; as well as solutions to train film human resources in the current context of digitalization and globalization.
Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee said that Da Nang city is currently gradually building a creative cultural ecosystem, promoting the development of cultural industries, including cinema.
Da Nang clearly recognizes that, to develop cinema, it is indispensable to have practical support policies for the young generation of filmmakers - from training, international connections to facilitating production and distribution.
Today's workshop is a valuable opportunity for domestic and international experts to share experiences, effective training models, as well as propose solutions suitable to reality.
In particular, through the " practice of talent" and "project garden" programs of DANAFF Talents, the city hopes to discover and accompany promising faces - those who will contribute to continuing to write the story of Vietnamese cinema on the world cinema map.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, international experience sharing plays an extremely important role in the development of the film industry; helps the city access effective development models from countries, expand markets and cooperation opportunities; contributes to building policies to support the film industry, creating a suitable legal corridor to attract investment and sustainable development; and is a powerful tool to promote the national image, spread national cultural identity.
"Da Nang City will continue to coordinate with film organizations, training schools and creative communities to build a favorable environment for talent development.
The city believes that, with the cooperation of all parties, Vietnamese cinema will have more excellent works, imbued with national cultural identity and touching the hearts of global audiences," Ms. Thi emphasized.
