With more than ten years of artistic activities, actor Le Nam is known to the audience through popular films such as: Our House is the Best, Stepmother, Lady with Many Tricks...
Starting from the Tan Binh District Cultural - Sports Center, Le Nam received acting guidance and support from teacher - actor Hoang Meo.
During his pursuit of acting, he wanted to give up many times, feeling inferior because he had not been trained through a professional school.
During the time of despair, Le Nam felt lucky to be encouraged by actor Hoang Meo: “Don’t think too much, not everyone who studies acting can do the job, and vice versa. If you are determined to pursue art, first of all you have to have a talent for the profession and be willing to learn many other skills to be able to work with your passion.”
It was the words of encouragement from his teacher that motivated actor Le Nam to try to accumulate knowledge from actor Hoang Meo, go to the film set, and learn from his colleagues.
Recalling the time when he first started his career, he expressed: “I felt self-conscious and did not dare to interact with people. Sometimes I wanted to portray a character in a certain way, but because I lacked confidence, I did not dare.”
Not only does Le Nam feel inferior because of his different starting point from most actors, he also feels inferior because of his voice defect. He admits that he has a difficult to hear voice, also known as a lisp, and when he speaks quickly, it is difficult for the audience to follow what he says.
However, he is also secretly grateful because thanks to his voice defect, it has become a special highlight for the public to remember actor Le Nam.
