Set on the wedding between a Vietnamese girl and a Thai businessman, the film "Ghost Bride" revolves around Yen (Rima Thanh Vy) - a Vietnamese girl preparing to marry Bank (JJ Krissanapoom) in the groom's hometown in Chiang Mai. However, Yen's journey soon fell into a nightmare when the ghost forces gradually revealed, dragging her into the spiral of unusual rituals and hidden family secrets.
With this role, Rima Thanh Vy marked her return to the horror film genre, and at the same time, it was the first time collaborating with a foreign co-star on the big screen. The appearance of JJ Krissanapoom has caused the project to receive high expectations right from the first information.
JJ Krissanapoom was born in 1996, is an actor, model and idol singer of the Nine by Nine music group. He has made his mark through the films Green Fictions, Suddenly Twenty, In human Kiss: The Last Breath, and recently starred in a horror series.
The film uses both Vietnamese and Thai, with a setting stretching from Ho Chi Minh City to Chiang Mai.
Producer Hang Trinh said that the script was initially a pure Thai story, but after the discussion, Vietnamese cultural elements were supplemented and adjusted to better suit the regional audience.
In addition to the two main actors Rima Thanh Vy and JJ Krissanapoom, the film also features many famous faces such as Jun Vu, Cong Duong, Karnpicha Pongpanit, Narupornkamol Chaisang, Duangjai Hiransri and Surasak Chaiyaat.
The film is expected to premiere in Vietnam from August 15, 2025 and will be released in many other countries such as Thailand, the US, Canada, New Zealand...
