This is a new work by director Son Dong Wan, which attracted attention at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN).
The center of the film is the character Ja Young played by Kim Ye Rim Yeri, a former member of the group Red Velvet. In the film, Ja Young and a group of friends participate in a video challenge at an abandoned building to attract views on YouTube. The "soul-calling" game was initially thought to be just an entertainment trick, but gradually turned into a true spiritual ritual, leading to a series of mysteries related to the disappearance of Ja Young's sister.
This role is considered by experts to be an important step forward in Yeri's acting career. After her mark in the TV series " Bitch Rich", Yeri continues to prove her ability to transform in many ways when trying her hand at supernatural horror films. Her emotional acting and the ability to convey fear and inner obsession have helped Yeri create a strong impression on international audiences during screenings at BIFAN.
Not only a horror film project, Resurrection Traps also reflect the psychological pressure of young people in the social media era, when the need for attention can lead to risky behaviors. The character Ja Young is both symbolic of youthful curiosity and evokes an in-depth story about family pain and the journey to face the past.
With a duration of 94 minutes, Resurrection Traps promises to be a work that takes Yeri further in the acting field, while attracting the attention of the global fan community. This film was shown in Vietnamese theaters on August 22.
