"Mother Sea" is a TV series directed by Nguyen Phuong Dien, which has received public attention in recent times. After her success as Lieu in the movie "Mother Straw", Lily Chen continued to accompany director Nguyen Phuong Dien in the movie "Mother Sea" as Ba Lanh.
To do this, Lily Chen said, right from the beginning of the script, she had carefully prepared the luggage for the role. "The more I learn about the role through the lines of the writer, I really seem to put myself in that situation. When we experienced the scenario of terrible destructive storms, I really sympathize for the people to suffer from natural disasters.

The actress said that the extremely difficult time filming helped her better understand the lives of coastal people. 3 months with the film crew enjoyed the harsh weather with skin burns, winds and sand and sea salt, and cold at night.
Because of the influence of weather and living conditions, the quality of the role is also affected. The improvisation of each person about the dialogue or content quality also requires sophistication in each lyrics. Because direct sounds should be a bit difficult because if missing the sore throat, the quality of the voice of the role will be affected. Activities or entertainment at this stage is very moderate to keep the best state for the schedules throughout the other parts of unity and tightness.
When I entered the role, I often analyzed that if I focused on the character, everything would improve in terms of technique. Create roles for more everyday life, make them easier to get closer to the audience and get better emotions. I had moments of emotional growth while filming but had to try to suppress it because the character was not allowed to go against the author's wishes and needed to be handled. So when I watched myself perform, I was moved many times more when I was at the Sea Mother set, Lily Chen shared her feelings when watching herself on the set.
Lily Chen remembers most the scene where she ran to find Bay Luong. Around the area, the fish are dry and have a strong stench. Or, every time filming a storm until the next morning, the fan blows, creating a storm of sand, splashing directly into the nose, eyes, and mouth, but still having to act normally when filming.
Water with the wind and the cold of the fog, must go through all the segment to be rested. Because the recording time is not fixed, until the night, Lily Chen is infected with spastic and joint spasms. However, the actress also expressed happiness when completing the role according to the process.
