As observed, this snake mascot is made very elaborately and meticulously. The snake's body and tail are made from thousands of small plastic pieces rolled up and assembled together to create a very lively snake scale shape.

According to Venerable Thich Hanh Minh - Abbot of Pho Do Pagoda, the pagoda hired 4 workers in Hue to make this snake mascot and it took nearly 1 month to complete. The cost of making the snake mascot was nearly 80 million VND.

The practice of displaying a snake mascot wearing a laurel wreath is explained by the Abbot of Pho Do Pagoda as wishing everyone a new year of success, victory, and glory.

Previously, in the year of Giap Thin 2024, Pho Do Pagoda also decorated a beautiful dragon mascot with a majestic appearance.
The dragon mascot was made and installed by a group of 3 workers in Hue in nearly 1 month at a cost of about 60 million VND.

The dragon is 8m high and 27m long, mainly made of foam material, with steel pillars inside as molds, and the dragon's body is painted with the main color yellow.
