episodes 11 - 12 marked the climax when the brotherly relationship between Duc Nhan (Vo Canh) and Duc Nghia (Son Huy) cracked. At first, Duc Nhan thought that his younger brother was following a prostitute path, but in fact, Duc Nghia was an undercover police officer, recklessly penetrating a criminal ring. In one incident, Duc Nghia successfully got a black card from the Giao su organization but unfortunately got hit by a bullet, before handing it over to Angel (Thuy Ngan). The misunderstanding broke out, Duc Nhan was arrested and brutally tortured.
According to Le Hai, to complete the research filming, Vo Canh had to endure being tied up in the harsh sun for many hours. The actor was beaten with a baseball stick, to the point that his co-star had to temporarily stop because he was worried about his health. Next, in the scene where the character Hai Coi (Tuong Vi) was rescued by the riverbank, Vo Canh continued to plunge into the water when his body was almost exhausted.
Not only showing physical sacrifice, Vo Canh also touched the audience's emotions in the segment where Duc Nhan painfully received his younger brother's body. His bewildered eyes and genuine expressions showed a clear progress in his acting.
