People's Police Publishing House officially publishes the novel "Wind still blows through tropical forests" by writer Duong Binh Nguyen.

Wind still blows through tropical forests" is the work that just won the A Prize at the novel, story, and essay writing contest with the theme "For national security and peace of life" organized by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Vietnam Writers' Association in the period 2022 - 2025.

Wind still blows through tropical forests" belongs to the psychological - criminal genre, set in Hanoi and some northern provinces in a social context strongly affected by the digitalization process. The work revolves around the character Lanh Hoang Bach, a young investigating officer participating in clarifying a series of cases related to online fraud, borrowing apps and personal data infringement.

Besides the investigation line, the novel builds a multi-dimensional character system such as Vuong Cao Tri - an old teacher who had a profound influence on Bach; Duong Hoa - a direct colleague; Cong Trien - a data technician; and Luu Bach Dan - an experienced manager. Personal relationships and internal conflicts are interwoven, contributing to clarifying ethical choices and professional responsibilities in the context of technology dominating life.

Colonel Tran Cao Kieu - Deputy Director of the CAND Communication Department, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Public Security Publishing House said that award-winning works such as "Wind still blows through tropical forests" are the motivation to continue to encourage creation on the topic of security in the context of the emergence of many types of high-tech crime, and at the same time open up the possibility of adaptation to cinema and television.

Writer Duong Binh Nguyen, born in 1979, once attracted attention with many short story collections in the early 2000s. After nearly 15 years of focusing on journalism and television work in the people's police force, the work "Wind still blows through tropical forests" marks his return to long-term novels, raising issues of ethics, personal responsibility and the impact of technology in modern society.
