After halfway through its broadcast, the movie "Spring Sickness" starring Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Bin recorded a stable viewership.

Spring Fever" (Vietnamese title: Spring Drunk) belongs to the romantic comedy genre, telling the love story between Yoon Bom (Lee Joo Bin) - an emotionally cold high school teacher, and Seon Jae Gyu (Ahn Bo Hyun) - the passionate guy who melted her ice heart.

The film currently airs 6/12 episodes with a stable viewership rate, ranging from 4.6%-5.4%. Besides the humorous storytelling style, Ahn Bo Hyun's appearance and acting are bright spots. Last week, the male actor also rose to 3rd place on Good Data Corporation's list of most loved actors.

On screen, the 38-year-old star conquered audiences when taking on the image of Jae Gyu - a rare male lead in television dramas - with a grumpy appearance, a sharp voice, decisive actions, but in fact is a warm and honest person. Even when misunderstood and slapped unjustly, Jae Gyu has never spoken out to defend himself.

Newsen (South Korea) assessed that thanks to Ahn Bo Hyun's performance, the somewhat illogical action scenes in "Spring Sickness" such as using bare hands to move cars, lifting up a park bench, sprinting at the speed of a subway... become more lovely and reasonable.

Meanwhile, the audience also gave positive reviews to the male star's new role. He was praised for resembling the character Jae Gyu in the original novel: masculine, strong and extremely attractive. Ahn Bo Hyun's way of using local languages and weight gain for the role were also noted.

Previously, director Park Won Guk said that the character image that Ahn Bo Hyun takes on not only breaks the stereotypes of conventional TV series but also reflects the true nature of coolness. However, in addition to the attraction of the male lead, the other cast received some mixed opinions.

In it, Lee Joo Bin once scored points for her appearance and role-playing ability, but in "Spring Sickness", she was criticized for not controlling her expressions well, many scenes of characters frowning too much, while the crying scene lacked the necessary depth of emotion.

However, a part of the audience assesses that the role that the female star takes on carries self-consciousness, her heart is hurt, so she will always appear in a gloomy, lifeless state. The way she performs on screen is also similar to the character.

Similarly, supporting actress Choi Se Jin, played by Lee Jae In, also criticized her for her childish, mischievous personality, always considering herself the center. However, some audiences still spoke out in defense, saying that this personality will highlight the kindness and warmth of her classmate Seon Han Gyel (Cho Jun Young) - the male lead's grandson, who also secretly likes Se Jin.

According to the film's developments, the main couple confirmed their relationship with a sweet kiss. From here, the knotholes related to Bom's past scandal, or the mysterious woman appearing next to Jae Gyu will also be revealed.

With the current plot, "Spring Sickness" is predicted to maintain a stable rating, difficult to surpass "You Let Me Get Married" - also a film directed by director Park, with the highest rating of 12%.
