The movie "Em dep em co ngay" has just announced the organization of a large-scale casting in Ho Chi Minh City on May 31. The film is a project by director Hoang Vu and Nhat Thanh.
The casting judges include: director Hoang Vu, actor - producer Mai Thu Huyen, Cao Thai Ha, singer - actor Nguyen Vu, along with producer Annie Nguyen, DOP Quyet Tran and production manager Khoa Tran. In particular, the presence of two veteran actors Huy Khanh and Tuong Vi as acting consultants.
Mai Thu Huyen shared: "We are looking for two female leads and two male leads to create the soul of the film. This is an opportunity for young people who are passionate about acting, possess outstanding appearances and talents to shine on the big screen.




Singer Nguyen Vu expressed his excitement: I prioritize faces that are suitable for the character rather than chasing big names. Vietnamese cinema needs young actors who are both beautiful and have a depth in acting to bring a new breeze.
Huy Khanh said that many young people have acting talent but do not know how to express emotions through their eyes and facial expressions. He hopes that with his experience, he will do his best to support, guide... to help young talents overcome their limitations.
Tuong Vi said that she was a bit nervous when she first took on the role of acting consultant at a film casting. However, with the desire to find promising faces for the Vietnamese film industry, she is happy to contribute to creating positive values. She focused on guiding actors on external gestures, dialogue, standard and emotional pronunciation.
Director Hoang Vu said, "Em dep em co quyen" is not only an entertainment film but also a sharp warning about the hot issues of modern society. The film revolves around the impact of social networks, where people are controlled by algorithms, the rampant deepfake (technology of impersonating others) and personal images distorted by the crowds.
The film not only exposes a virtual lifestyle, where young people are willing to trade everything for likes and comments, but also depicts the psychological pain of young people who live online but gradually dead in real life, director Hoang Vu expressed.
