Afraid that if her family's collapse were revealed, it would be difficult for Truc (Le Tam Trieu Dang) to find a decent husband, Mrs. Mai wanted to marry Truc off soon. At first, Bao boldly declared that he would marry Lanh, but when he saw the injuries on Lanh's face, he was scared and quickly retreated, turning his back on her.
