Afraid that if her family's collapse were revealed, it would be difficult for Truc (Le Tam Trieu Dang) to find a decent husband, Mrs. Mai wanted to marry Truc off soon. Although she was temporarily reassured when she heard Truc say Thinh (Bach Cong Khanh) promised to marry her, Mrs. Mai was still anxious, telling Truc to choose her words carefully to remind Thinh to fulfill his promise soon.
Tired of My Le (Thu Nguyen) when he discovered that she was a promiscuous prostitute with nothing good, Bao (Dung Bino) quickly found another person to flirt with.
That is Lanh (Nguyen Thi Bang Tam), a street vendor with a poor family background but gentle and virtuous. Bao agrees to break up with My Le, but before Mrs. Tu (Le Phuong) can feel relieved, Bao asks to marry Lanh.
Not accepting a daughter-in-law of different social status, she strongly objected and advised Bao, but Bao stubbornly refused to listen and even told his father that he wanted to get married. Mr. Manh (Cao Minh Dat) did not forbid Bao from having a girlfriend, nor did he care about social status, but he wanted his son to think carefully because marriage is not a game.
Abandoned by Bao, My Le was furious and brought her juniors to slash Lanh's face in revenge. The news of Bao's affair and Lanh being beaten up by his lover reached Mr. Manh's ears. Mr. Manh asked his son if he dared to take responsibility for Lanh.
At first, Bao boldly declared that he would marry Lanh, but when he saw the injuries on Lanh's face, he was scared and quickly retreated, turning his back on her. Mr. Manh was extremely angry with Bao and felt ashamed in front of Lanh's family. This matter had not yet subsided when Mr. Manh discovered that Bao had stolen rice from the factory to sell.
He was furious and asked Bao for his sins, and scolded Mrs. Tu for covering up for her son, which made him more and more spoiled.
The film airs at 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday every week on THVL1 channel.
