After a long time of detention, Mr. Trung (Mai Huynh) was finally cleared and waited for his release from prison. But when the door to prison opens, the consequences he leaves behind are still there - a broken family, a shaky career and countless overlapping relationships between love and hate.
Mrs. An (Phuc An) accidentally witnessed Linh chatting with a relative. The other person blamed Linh (Tuong Vi) for being persistent, but she just kept quiet, without a word to explain. Mrs. An suddenly realized that Linh was ready to give up her dream, accepting to tie herself up in the troubles that Trong Si (Vu Manh Cuong) left behind, just to protect the company and hundreds of employees. That image reminded her of her old self - who had sacrificed and been single to take care of her family. Her heart wavered for the first time before the girl, which she had not accepted for a long time.
Hai met Linh for the last time to give him a gift before he left for a long time at work as arranged by his mother. But Linh did not know that. She kept a distant attitude, accidentally pushing him into deep loneliness.
The day Mr. Trung was given his freedom, only Linh came to pick up his father. Mrs. Nha (Phuong Dung) refuses to meet and cannot forgive her husband who has betrayed her over and over again. When Mr. Trung returned home, she coolly put in front of him a divorce papers. Although he tried to hold on, her heart had been cold for a long time.
But the storm has not stopped. On the way back, Ms. Nhu suddenly blocked Linh and Mr. Trung's car. The hatred that had accumulated for many years caused her to lose control and intended to kill Mr. Trung to repay the old hatred. During the struggle, Mr. Trung was injured, while Ms. Nhu (Thu Tuyet) was hit by a car, seriously injured, and at risk of paralysis for the rest of her life.
Hai (Nguyen Quoc Truong Thinh) quietly packed his luggage. Although trying to act strongly, Mrs. An understood that Hai's decision to leave was not only for work but also a way to escape unnamed emotions.
Meanwhile, Huyen (Huynh Nhu Dan) went to Linh, tears in her eyes, and begged Linh's family not to sue her mother. Seeing an arrogant Huyen who has recently collapsed, Linh could not help but feel heartbroken.
