Less than 1 month after its official release, the film "Detective Kien: Ky an Khong Tan" has reached 200 billion VND and shows no signs of cooling down. In the movie "Detective Kien: Ky an khong khong", Quoc Anh plays the role of Thac - a character with a rather special relationship with the female lead. This is the first time Quoc Anh has had the opportunity to work with Victor Vu after he was strongly rejected by the male director 4 years ago.
Quoc Anh revealed: "When I tried my hand at casting for the movie "The English Guardians (2021)", I... fell from the parking round. At that time, because I was too nervous and lacked experience in transforming, I kept stumbling around so being rejected was a very understandable thing".
Returning to "Detective Kien: Ky an khong dau", the actor affirmed that he was not afraid to take on a role with differences from appearance to duration: "Although he only participated in some small segments, Quoc Anh was very excited to try his hand in a detective film with a strong historical look" - Quoc Anh shared.
The Four Guardians
In "The Four Guardians", Quoc Anh plays the male lead of the same name - a successful guy with a deep relationship that lasted 6 years with Quynh Anh (Tieu Vy). However, their relationship gradually cracked due to the appearance of Karen (Ky Duyen). This role marks Quoc Anh's transformation, as he shows many new aspects: maturity, determination and a more complex psychology than previous roles.
The actor shared: I feel that in my character Quoc Anh, I am not just a person who seems to have everything: from appearance, career to love. I want to bring the audience the image of a man who also has very private emotions, also has to face pressure at work, losing direction in love and many other vulnerabilities and weaknesses that are not easily expressed on the outside. Through the role of Quoc Anh this time, I also hope that the audience will see my efforts to learn and practice over the past time".
After 1 month of official release, "The Four Guardians" recorded a "huge" revenue figure, up to more than 300 billion VND.
After nearly 6 years of absence from the big screen, Quoc Anh admitted that he had gone through a long period of regret, skepticism and faced a lot of pressure about his future direction. In addition to taking a break to recognize and seriously improve his acting ability, Quoc Anh proactively " covered his career" by choosing to participate in many TV series projects, trying his hand through a series of diverse roles.
